Lead Pyroarsenate, Pb2As2O7
Lead Pyroarsenate, Pb2As2O7, is obtained by precipitating lead acetate solution by sodium pyroarsenate, and by fusing together lead oxide and potassium metarsenate. In the latter case it forms colourless lamellae.
The mineral mimetite has the composition 3Pb3(AsO4)2.PbCl2. It may be prepared artificially by fusing its component salts together. |
